2 interesting news.. and big one too.

Recently, when I was browsing through FARS News Agency, I found two interesting news. First is..

Tunisians Set to Form Hezbollah Group [2011-01-22]

TEHRAN (FNA)- Several student and youth groups in Tunisia announced that they intend to model their political moves and activities on the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement and form a Hezbollah party in their country to organize their activities with the help of the Tunisian people.

"The advanced revolutionary and Islamic models like the Hezbollah of Lebanon can provide a bright and promising prospect for Tunisia," one of the student activists, Jamil bin Alawi, told FNA on Saturday.

He expressed the hope that Islamism would grow in his country, and said, "Future belongs to the young Muslim and revolutionary people of Tunisia."

Tunisian President Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali's government fell after weeks of bloody protests over corruption, unemployment, and high food prices.

Tunisia's Constitutional Council has announced the country's Parliament Speaker Fouad Mebazaa as the interim leader, formally ousting Ben Ali from office.

Tunisian Prime Minister Mohammad Ghannouchi had earlier taken over from Ben Ali.

The brewing uprising dubbed by many analysts as the worst unrest in at least 23 years erupted on December 17th, when a young fruit vendor in the city of Sidi Bouzid set himself on fire after police confiscated the fruits and vegetables he was selling without a permit.

The Tunisian youths took their decision to form a Hezbollah group nearly two weeks after a new group called 'Hezbollah' stepped onto the political and military scene of Iraq after releasing a statement, where it described its main goal as "campaign against the United States and campaign against occupation".

The Arab group declared in the statement released on its official website that resistance and jihad against occupying countries are its main goals.

The Hezbollah of Iraq also warned all US citizens and militaries to leave Iraq ASAP.

The second is...AND THIS A BIG ONE.

Largest Spy Hub Uncovered in Israel [2011-01-23]

TEHRAN (FNA)- A huge spy facility in a little known town in Negev desert was uncovered by investigative journalists that was used by Israel for monitoring phone calls and e-mails from all cross the Middle-East and beyond.

The Russia Today network said in a recent report that the facilities were Israel's "big ears" and hidden from prying eyes for decades in the desert. Nicky Hager, an investigative journalist said about the facilities, "This is the largest or largest equal spying facility that I've ever seen on earth. No one has ever talked about or understood that there could be something of this scale in Israel."

"It's simply never been on the map. It's never been seen," Hager added.

Duncan Campbell, another investigative journalist said, "They (dishes in the spy hub) take everything passing over the satellites."

"The system simply doesn't discriminate. Everybody listens to everything".

The development came after several security officials in the Middle-East had warned about Israel's growing spying operations in the region. A retired Lebanese General laid much emphasis on the recent discovery of spy networks and espionage devices in Lebanon and Egypt, and cautioned about the Zionist regime's spying operations in the Arab countries of the region. "The discovery of Israel's espionage networks in Lebanon gave this lesson to all Arab countries that their national security is endangered by the Zionist regime's spying activities," Amin Hatit told FNA last month.

Pointing to the dismantlement of several espionage devices in Lebanon and the capture of three Israeli spies, he reiterated that such events made the Arab countries, even those which sought normalization of relations with Israel, keep vigilant against the spying activities of the regime and review their bilateral ties with Israel.

Lebanese sources announced at the time that the country's security officials have dismantled several espionage devices in the area of Tawmat Niha in the Shouf Mountains and arrested three Israeli spies.

The Al Nahar daily reported that the army dismantled the equipment in cooperation with Hezbollah.

Other media reports said the newly discovered devices allow Israel to monitor the Bekaa valley and coastal areas from Sidon all the way to Jbeil.

Earlier in December 2010, the Lebanese army said it had dismantled two espionage devices that Israel had placed on top of Mount Sannine, Northeast of Beirut, and the Barouk Mountain, East of the capital. Also in December, Hezbollah said that it had discovered an Israeli device spying on its private telecommunications network. The device exploded, apparently detonated remotely by the Israelis, when it was found near the village of Majdel Silim, about 8 kilometers from the border with Israel, Hezbollah said in a statement. The Lebanese military also reported the find and the explosion, saying two people working in a truck nearby were injured in the blast. It too said in a statement the device was intended to spy on the network.

"Telecom technicians of the resistance (Hezbollah) managed to discover a spying device the enemy had planted in Wadi al-Qaysiyya. The enemy detonated its devices as a result of the discovery," a statement released by the Hezbollah media relations department said. "This technical espionage by the enemy is part of the persistent Israeli violations of the national telecom network with the aim of infiltrating and controlling it, which represents a breach of sovereignty and an attempt at violating the security and safety of the Lebanese," the statement added.

A member of the Lebanese resistance group, Hezbollah, described the discovery as a heavy blow to the regime, considering that Tel Aviv always boasts of its military and spying equipment. "Detection of the Zionist regime's spying device in Lebanon hit a heavy blow to the regime's intelligence body," Khezr Noureddin told FNA. "I think that the Zionist regime's spying devices and systems which have not yet been discovered are in danger now since Israel can no more trust the information obtained via these systems," he added.

Oh, of course I'm happy over both news. It means better goverment for Tunisia and less demonizing power for Israel (the jerk who goes trampling all over Palestine). And yeah, Hezbullah is just as good as Iran in defying and resisting oppressor (who else >> Israel, US and their allies).

Snail.

So, one day I was feeding the cats through the back door of my house. And I spotted a snail attached to the wall. Then I decided to take a snapshot. This photo is taken using my 1.3MP camera (very low resolution) during a hot sunny day. So, it explains the brightness of the photo. A little bit information about snail..

Phylum: Mollusca (soft-bodied organism)
Class: Gastropoda (stomach foot)

Bamboo in Paradise.

(Translate from Source: Solusi magazine, Issue No. 23, 2010)

So good is the personality of Khadijah she received the salam from Allah.

Abu Hurairah had said that Gabriel came to Rasulullah pbuh while saying:" O Rasulullah, Khadijah is coming here. She broings along a container filled with gravy, foods and drinks. If she came to you, then tell her that God and I sent her a salam. And tell her a good news that she will get a house in the paradise which is made of bamboo, which is neither noisy nor tire." (Muttafaq 'alaih)

Fatimah once asked her father (Rasulullah) about that matter: "Is it the same as the bamboo around here?" Rasulullah answered: "No. But a bamboo encrusted with gems, pearls and diamond."

Robin Sharma

So here's the thing, I just came back from a lecture where we're shown a motivational video and the speaker (Robin Sharma) asked af his audience to spread his words and what we've learned from the video/his books to 3 people. So, this is what I've got from his video..

"To be a great leader, first you must become a great person"

"When you push yourself to the limit, you'll expand your limit"

"Breakdown comes before a breakthrough"

"When potential is unexpressed, it'll turn into a pain"

-Robin Sharma, author of 'The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari' & 'The Leader Who Had No Title'-
(http://www.robinsharma.com/leadership-best)

Just some additional quote I got from the video, it's by Mother Teresa;

Mother Teresa"If every person would just clean their doorstep, the whole world will be clean."

Healing process..

I just want to share the photo I took of how a blister gone through the healing process. By the way, I got this blister because of hot oil spatter while I was frying something (I don't remember). Yeah, I'm a lousy cook. If you realize, all the blister become dry and turn brownish towards the end of the healing process.

How a hungry dog saves a prostitute..

A picture of wild cats (not really cause most of them are my neighbours pet cats). Seeing them made me think of a hadith of Prophet Muhammad pbuh that says about a prostitute that is forgived by Allah because she gave food to a hungry dog. Moral of the lesson: Be good to animals. Allah permit, maybe you'll be saved from the hellfire due to your charity towards animal.

Arson attack on mosque in Berlin Wilmersdorf neighborhood overnight

(Source: Islamic Republic News Agency)

Berlin, Jan 8, IRNA -- Berlin has become again the scene of another arson attack on a mosque, the seventh of its kind since June 2010, the daily Der Tagesspiegel reported Saturday.

A mosque in Berlin's middle-class neighborhood of Wilmersdorf was targeted in the firebombing overnight.

Unknown assailants tried to set the entrance door of the mosque on fire, however a passerby noticed the fire and contacted police who managed to extinguish the flames with a fire extinguisher.

The perpetrators of the crime did leave a message at the site, however police refused to release specifics of the note. The exact damage of the blaze is still being investigated, according to the report.

Last month, the Iranian Islamic Culture Center was subject to bombing, triggering a strongcondemnation by Berlin's Mayor Klaus Wowereit.

The German capital which has a sizeable Muslim community, has repeatedly witnessed a series of arson attacks against mosques in recent months. The Sehitlik Mosque, Berlin biggest mosque, has been firebombed four times last year.

German Muslim leaders have time and again voiced strong concern over the ongoing bombings against mosques, calling for stepped up security measures.

The center-right government of Chancellor Angela Merkel has tried to downplay the new wave of anti-Muslim hate crimes, an escalaltion of Islamophobia in Germany.

A millionaire or a poor friend: Who's richer?

(Source: Solusi magazine, issue no.16, 2010)

A millionaire brought his son to sleep over at his poor friend house. He hope that his son will realize how rich they are. After three days at the poor friend house, they returned home. Along the road the father asked: "What's your opinion on our journey?"

"It's fun!" his son replied.

"Now, you must've been able to compare between life as a poor and a rich right?"

"Absolutely," his son answered joyfully.

"Now, what did you learned from it all?"

The son replied: "We have a pet cat, but they have lots of cats to feed. We have a swimming pool, but they have a river with flowing crytal clear water  for them to bath. We have expensive imported lamps, but they have brilliant twinkling starts over the skies which they look up to during their leisure time at their home lawn at night..."

The father wanted to interrupt, but the son continued, "We have paved road but they have a vast green field spread out to the horizon. We liked to order our maids around, they have fun in providing service and helping the others. We have tonnes of food, but they produced foods. We have guards who take care of our properties...but they have lots of loyal friends who always protected them."

The father is furthered silenced when his son added: "Thank you father for making me realized how rich they are and how poor we are!"

Lessons: True wealth is inside a heart that is grateful and acceptful (redha). It is not about what we have but of what we give. To achieve a comfortable live, we need to have. But to achieve tranquility, we need to give. To give brings more joy than to receive.

Different Kind of Cleverness.

(Source: Solusi magazine, issue no. 16, 2010)

One day a professor crossed the river by taking a sampan(simple boat made of wood) paddled by a sampan boatman. At the middle of the river, the professor asked: "Do you know how to read and write?"

"No. I'm illiterate," Answered the boatmen.

"If that's so, you have lost half of your life. People who can't read or write can be thought as losing half of their ability to live."

Not long after that, the professor asked again: "Did you have any savings in bank?"

"No. My salary is only enough for life needs."

"If that's so, you lost half of your life. There's no way a person with no saving can live comfortably in his old years."

The sampan continued to move.

Then, the sampan got leaked. Water was rushing to came in and the sampan almost sank. The boatmen asked the professor: "Sir, do you know how to swim?"

"Err, err..I don't know," replied the professor panicly.

"If that's so, you'll lose all your life!"

Lesson: God didn't create humans with stupidity. Instead, He created them with different kinds of cleverness. Each of us must identify where our cleverness and enhance it to the maximum level. Don't despise yourself but try to build your confidence. Allah created each of us to succeed.

Umar Al-Khattab: The Separator between Truth and Falsehood.

(Sorce: Solusi magazine, Issue no. 16, 2010)

One day, the son of Egypt Governor Amru Ibn al-'As had a horse race with an Egyptian Qibti Arab man and he lost, eventually he slapped the man.

Because the Qibti Arab felt that he won't be judged fairly, he met the Amirul Mukminin Sayidina Umar r.a in the city of Medina. Sayidina Umar r.a summoned the Egypt Governor and his son to come to the Medina city to be judged and asked of the truth regarding the incident and the governor's son action.

When the truth is confirmed, Sayidina Umar ordered the Qibti to slap back the governor's son as qisas punishment. Sayidina Umar r.a. then reminded his people with a statement that should be written with a golden ink, among his words, "Since when did you take human as your slaves, when their mother had given birth to them in an independent state?"

See how beautiful it is the justice of Islam which don't recognize looks, life status, bloodlines, wealth, position and job.

Musyriq army: "Where do you think you're going O Suraqah (satan)? Didn't you said that you'll be our protector and won't separate from us?"

Satan: "I see what you can't see. I truly fear Allah for His  punishment is very hard."

And so, satan continued to run away and jump into the sea.

A Cautionary Tale

(Source: Oceanography by Tom Garrison, ch.18 (Introduction), pp.505)

Let me tell you a story.

Easter Island -Rapa Nui- was a home to a culture that rose to greatness amid abundant resources, attained extraordinary levels of achievement, and then died suddenly and alone, terrified, in the empty vastness of the Pacific. The inhabitants had destroyed their own world.

European first saw Easter Island in 1722. The Dutch explorer Jacob Roggeveen encountered the small volcanic speck on Easter morning while on a scouting voyage. The island, dotted with withered grasses and scorched vegetation, was populated by a few hundred skittish, hungry, ill-clad Polynesians who lived in caves. During his one-day visit, Roggeveen  was amazed to see more than 200 massive stone statues standing on platforms along the coast. At least 700 more statues were later found partially completed, lying in the quarries as if they had just been abandoned by workers. Roggeveen immediately recognized a problem: "We could not comprehend how it was possible that these people, who are devoid of thick heavy timber for making machines, as well as strong ropes, nevertheless had been able to erect such images." The islanders has no wheels, no powerful animals, and no resources to accomplished this artistic technical, and organizational feat. And there were too few of them -600 to 700 men and about 30 women.

When Capt. james Cook visited in 1774, the islanders paddled to his ships in canoes "put together with manifold small planks...cleverly stiched together with very fine twisted threads." Cook noted the natives "lacked the knowledge and materials for making tight the seams of the canoes, they are accordingly very leaky, for which reason they are compelled to spend half the time in bailing." The canoes held only one or two people each, and they were less than 3 meters (10 feet) long. Only three or four canoes were seen on the entire island, and Cook estimated the human population at less than 200. By the time of Cook's visit, nearly all the statues had been overthrown, tipped into pits dug for them, often onto a spike placed to shatter their faces upon impact.

Archesological research on Easter island has revealed a chilling story. Only 165 square kilometers (64 square miles) in extent, Easter Island is one of the most isolated places on Earth, the easternmost outpost of Polynesia. Voyagers from the Marquesas first reached Easter Island about A.D. 350, possibly after being blown off course by storms. The place was a miniature paradise. In its fertile volcanic  soils grew dense forest of palms, daisies, grasses, hauhau trees and toromino shrubs. Large oceangoing canoes could be built from the long, straight, buoyant Easter Island palms and strengthened with rope made from the hauhau trees. Toromino firewood cooked the fish and dolphins caught by the newly arrived fishermen, and forest tracts were cleared to plant crops of taro, bananas, sugarcane, and sweet potatoes. The human population thrived.

By the year 1400 the population had blossomed to between 10,000 and 15,000 people. Gathering, cultivating and distributing the rich bounty for so many inhabitants require complex political control. As number grew, however, stresses began to be felt: the overuse and erosion of agricultural land caused crop yields to decline, and the nearby ocean was stripped of benthic organisms, so the fishermen had to sail greater distances in larger canoes. As resources became inadequate to support the growing population, those in power appealed to the gods. They redirect community resources to carve worshipful images of unprecedented size and power. The people cut down more large trees for ropes and rolling logs to place the heads on huge carved platforms.

By this time, the island's seabirds had been consumed, and no new birds came  to nest. The rats that has hitchiked to the island on the first canoes were raised for food. Palm seeds were prized as a delicacy. All available land was under cultivation. As fesorces continues to shrink, wars broke out over dwindilng food aand space. By about 1550 no one couldd venture offshore to harpoon dolphins or fishes because the palms needed to constuct seagoing canoes had all been cut down. The trees used to provide rope lashing were extinct, their wood burned to cook what food remained. The once-lush forest was gone. Soon the only remaining ready source of animal protein were being utilized: The people began to hunt and eat each other.

Central authority was lost, and gangs arose. As tribal wars raxged, the remaining grasses were burned to destroy hiding places. The rapidly shrinking population retreated into caves from which raids were launched against enemy forces. The vanquished were consumed, their statues tipped into pits and destroyed. Around 1700 the human population crashed to less than a tenth of its peak numbers. No statues stood upright when Cook arrived.

Even if the survivors had wanted to leave the island, they could not have done so. No suitable canoes existed; none could be made. What might the people have been thinking when they chopped down the last palm? Generations later, their successors died, wondering what the huge stone statues had been looking for.

As you read this chapter, you may be struck by similarities between Easter Island and Earth. Here we will survey the pollutants, the mismanagement of living resorces, and the global changes that are currently stressing the planet's environment. It's a depressing list, but at the end you'll find a glimmer of hope. After all, the Easter Islanders had no books and no histories of other doomed societies. We might be able to learn from their mistakes.

The Obama Deception (What YOU Must Know)

READ BY HEART: The end of a mother's journey..

(Source: Solusi magazine issue no.16, 2010, page 45)

A young mother who just stepped into a new world asked herself, "Is this journey gonna be long?".

A voice answered her curiosity,"Yes, and it'll be a winding course but the end of this journey is more meaningful than the start."

The young mother started her journey. Her love for her young children is undivided. Playing with her children, plucking the fruits along the journey, wash her children when they pass the crystal clear waterfall and many more. The young mother felt so content. She cried while saying, "Nothing feels more beautiful and can make me feel more content than this."

When the night falls, rain and thunderstorm come. The road they taken became dark. The children felt scared and cold. The mother covered her children with blanket and hug them. The children told their mother,"Mother, we don't feel scared anymore because you're with us."

When the day comes, the mother woke up from her sleep. The sun was shining brightly. There were no more storms like last night. In front of them, stood a hill. They climbed up toward it's top. The mother and children became tired. But the mother adviced, "Please endure it a little bit more darling, we'll reach the top in a while." The children didn't give up and continue the climbing. When they arrived to the top, the children said,"Mother, we won't reach here if it's not for you.

The day retreated, darkness covered the sky. The mother lied down looking up to the twinking stars while saying,"Today is more meaningful than yesterday and I felt so happy. My children had learned how to be patience while facing hardship. Yesterday I gave them courage and today I gave them strength."

The next day, dark clouds filled the sky. Those are the clouds of hatred and evil. The children were fumbling in the darkness and fell onto the the ground. The mother said,"My children, be a brave person. Allah will always be with us."

The children started to realize and once again feel at peace. Those words made them guided in the darkness. At night, the mother monologued with herself, "Today is the best of my life. I show them the right path."

The days flew by. Weeks come and go. And years gone. The mother now is old and weak. Meanwhile, the children grew up and became the person who can stand on their own.

Now, it's time for the mother to go back to the eternal world. She said, "I have come to the end of my journey. Now I realized the end of this journey is more meaningful to me than the start. Now my children had became strong. Not as weak as when they were still young. They were able to face life's difficulty and are guided to the right path. Now I can go with peace because their prayers will always accompany me."

Cure for all disease.

I just read Solusi magazine (Issue no. 16,2010)  and found these interesting hadith.

Know this, truly in a body, exits a kind of meat, when it is good, the whole body will be good. And when it is bad, the whole body will be damaged. Know this, it is the heart.

Imam al-Tarmizi had quote that a person is still considered a Mukmin if he/she has two characteristics: that is when the person did something good, his/her heart feels happy and when the person did something bad, his/her heart feels uneasy or troubled. This is an indicator that we seek as to determine  whether our heart is still good, sick or weary.

In a hadith by Imam Muslim through a sahabah named Hudzaifah, Rasullullah pbuh told us that there are some hearts of humans that reach a state where it's totally blackened by sins and bad deeds, to the point where they "do not recognize good deeds and do not go against bad deeds, all that they know is whatever been given by their lust/desire." This is a situation where the heart is weary.
