The former head of Nasser Hospital's Plastic Surgery Department, Dr Ahmed Al-Mughraby, has joined calls for a global strike for Gaza on 1 October. He tells MEMO how he escaped after Israeli occupation forces surrounded the hospital and forced Palestinians to travel through a checkpoint to get out. This, he explains, was the first time he'd seen Gaza since the war started as he'd lived in the hospital since the start of the war to help treat the injured.
