Footage of clashes between Israeli settlers and soldiers over the sexual abuse case of a Palestinian detainee has surfaced online, showing Israeli settlers and Israeli occupation forces in a tense clash. The settlers stormed the Israeli military court in Beit Lid to support IOF soldiers under investigation for torturing and sexually abusing a Palestinian detainee in the Sde Teiman detention center. According to an Israeli Army Radio report, the abuse occurred approximately three weeks ago at Sde Teiman. The victim was discovered at the military base in critical condition and was subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment and surgery.
Reports indicate that the detainee was sexually assaulted by nine or ten Israeli soldiers, resulting in severe injury that has left him paralyzed and currently hospitalized. At the United Nations General Assembly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented two maps to depict what he called "The Blessing" and "The Curse" of the Middle East. According to Netanyahu, "The Blessing" map, which excludes Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Iran, represents "a bright blessing, a future of hope." In contrast, "The Curse" map signifies "a dark future of despair," according to Netanyahu who added, "If you think this dark map is only a curse for Israel, if you think that, then you should think again."
While Netanyahu alleged before the UN General Assembly that Iran and its allies "destroys millions; destroys nations from within and inflicts misery on millions," his government and occupation forces were simultaneously carrying out relentless massacres in Gaza, as well as South Lebanon and the Bekaa. Even more ironically, despite his rhetoric, Netanyahu not only challenged the international community but also greenlit the most massive Israeli airstrike on Beirut's Southern Suburb, specifically targeting the densely populated neighborhood of Haret Hreik.
