Reminds me of the boycott of the Hashemites by the pagan Quraysh authorities of Mecca. Prophet Muhammad lost his first wife (Khadija) to starvation and deteriorating health due to sanctions imposed by the pagan Meccan authorities and ruling clans on Prophet Muhammad, his families, followers, supporters, protectors and backers.
